Who we are
Insured Transportation LLC is a motor carrier headquartered in Springtown, Texas, with an administrative office in Orlando, Florida. This policy covers insuredtranspo.com and the driver application, contact form, and account login available on it.
If you have a question about anything here, email [email protected] or call 817-617-7877 extension 1.
What the driver application collects
When you apply to drive with us, the form asks for your name, email address, phone number, city and state, age, the coverage zones you are willing to run, your experience with dry van, reefer, flatbed, and box truck equipment, your hazmat, tanker, and multi-trailer endorsements, how long you have held a Class A CDL, whether you hold a TWIC card, a self-reported summary of your driving record, your availability and preferred work days, your desired weekly pay, whether you are currently employed, and whether you are open to team or over-the-road work.
The application also asks for your home street address, your ZIP code, and your Social Security number. Both are needed to match you to your own records at the state licensing agency, the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, PSP, and the background screening services every motor carrier is required to use before putting a driver in a truck. Your Social Security number is stored in a separate table from the rest of your application, under its own access rules, so that a mistake in the settings governing ordinary application data cannot expose it. It is not included when applications are listed, searched, or exported; an administrator has to request one specific applicant’s number, one at a time.
You cannot submit the application without checking the screening authorization box. The exact wording you agreed to, and the moment you agreed to it, are recorded on your application so there is never a question about what was authorized.
The form also offers three optional uploads: your commercial driver license, your DOT medical certificate, and a motor vehicle record. You can submit a complete application without attaching any of them. If you do attach them, they go into private storage that is not reachable from the public internet and cannot be opened by guessing a web address. Only an authenticated administrator can view them, through a link that expires after an hour. We are aware a photo of your license shows your license number and date of birth, and we treat those files accordingly.
We use this information to evaluate you for a driving position and to contact you about your application. Nothing more.
What the contact form collects
The contact form collects your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, subject, and message. We use it to respond to you.
What an account collects
If you create an account, we store your email address and the role your account holds. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored as a cryptographic hash. We never see or store your password in a readable form.
If you sign in with Google instead, Google shares your email address, name, and profile picture with us. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not gain access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or anything else in your Google account.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We do not trade it, rent it, or hand it to advertisers or data brokers. We share it only with the service providers that make this site work, and only to the extent they need it:
- →Supabase, which hosts the database holding applications, messages, and accounts, and which handles sign-in.
- →DigitalOcean, which hosts the website itself.
- →Google, if and only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- →Background screening and compliance services, once you have authorized them on the application: the state agencies that issue motor vehicle records, the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, the Pre-Employment Screening Program, consumer reporting agencies that perform background checks, and previous DOT-regulated employers we contact for safety performance history under 49 CFR 391.23.
- →My D.O.T Cabinet, our compliance and driver management system, and only for applicants we actually hire. Nothing about an applicant we do not hire is sent there.
When we hire you
If we extend an offer and you accept, your recruiting information transfers into My D.O.T Cabinet so you can complete your driver qualification file. From that point the additional documents federal law requires of us are collected there, through an authenticated process, not through this public website.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it: to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, to prospective employers who submit a lawful employment verification request about you, and in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or safety investigation.
How long we keep it
Applications from people we do not hire are kept for a limited period so we can reconsider you for future openings and demonstrate non-discriminatory hiring practices, then deleted. Any documents attached to those applications are deleted with them. Contact form messages are kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterward.
For drivers we hire, federal law sets the schedule and we do not have discretion to shorten it. Under 49 CFR 391.51 we must retain your driver qualification file for three years after you stop driving for us. Under 49 CFR 391.23 the drug and alcohol history we obtain reaches back ten years. A request to delete your information cannot override these requirements while they apply.
Your choices
Write to [email protected] and you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct something that is wrong, ask us to delete your information, or withdraw an application you have submitted. We will respond within a reasonable time and will tell you plainly if a legal retention requirement prevents us from deleting something.
Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights. We apply the process above to everyone regardless of state.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets a cookie to keep you signed in. That is its only purpose. We do not run advertising pixels, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics that follow you around the internet.
Security, honestly stated
Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Access to application data is restricted to authorized administrators and enforced at the database level, not merely by hiding a page. Passwords are hashed.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
Children
This site is for people seeking commercial driving work and for the brokers and shippers we do business with. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes to how we handle information already collected will be communicated to affected applicants and drivers directly.
